Amanda & Guillaume
28 MayAmanda and Gui had a Parisian Pink Cocktail Party Wedding at the Argonaut Rowing Club in Toronto
Friday, May 27, 2011
Amanda loves flowers and loves the look of a hand tied bouquet, so we chose for all of the arrangements to be made into hand tied bouquets, being presented in cylindrical vases. These were shown on the mantle which showed as the Ceremony Back Drop as well as in the Foyer/Bar of the Venue for Cocktails. Mini Bouquets were placed throughout the room on cocktail tables and used as table arrangements.
These are just my iphone pictures – but better ones are soon to come!
Amanda had a huge brooch on her silver wrapped bouquet.

YELLOW Inspiration
16 MayIt’s no secret that I LOVE YELLOW. I love the colour, I love yellow flowers, they can be soft and pale or bright and bold they can give a traditional, modern, contemporary, relaxed, or garden feel. Yellow can do everything. Here’s so images I’ve seen online that make an excellent yellow inspiration board.
CHAIRS!

Take a look at these designs featuring flowers being used as ceremony aisle decor on the chairs and then using them in the reception.

Front of House
9 SepPeople tend to underestimate the importance of the front of house flowers. Some people say it is completely unnecessary. I disagree and here’s why.
The Front of House Flowers….
- …set the stage and scale of the ceremony
- …set the mood and theme for the wedding
- …give the guests something to look at while they are seated and waiting for the bridal party to arrive
- … are the background to your ceremony pictures and video
- …tie in the colours of the clothing, bouquets, decor and more
- …can be moved and re-used to be a huge focal in the reception
Take a little look at some great Large Ceremony Front of House Arrangements (some of which have been moved and used elsewhere – guest table, cocktail tables, entrance to the reception)
